This week we’re showcasing Debbie Gourd’s Super Metroid helmet cake. While not a gamer herself, Debbie runs her own cake-design shop out of San Francisco and did an amazing job creating this particular cake based on images of Samus from the net. It looks so detailed I think I’d feel bad cutting a slice out of poor Samus’ head.
You may have seen the videos of the unique to Wii art style of Madden NFL 10, you may have commented on it, but let’s settle this with a poll:

Summer fun often means time at the beach, sun dresses, cool drinks and warm weather. But not for us. At Infendo, we punished our brains over the last week thinking up ways to remain inside during the hot and humid summer. And upcoming Wii games were at the top of our list. We took the ten best, set them to pictures, and listed them here. So sit back, have a lemonade, avoid the sun, and enjoy! Final Fantasy IV comes to WiiWare sporting nine episodic downloads of Final Fantasy IV goodness. Wait a second Nine Episodes? I sure hope Square doesn’t expect us to pay 1,000 Nintendo points an episode. Also was this not a downloadable game on some phones in Japan not to long ago?
Update: Screen Shots added, and After Years is going to have support for 1-4 players, which should add a great twist to the game play which we still know very little about right now.

EA today released a fresh batch of screenshots for Madden NFL 10 on Wii. Reactions to the first screen were mixed. But keep in mind Madden die-hards will stick to Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. The Wii version is obviously trying to do something new. For EA, the Wii version is all about growth, as the status quo design has grown stagnant in recent years. Still big, but stagnant. Madden NFL 10 arrives August 12.
Nintendo Power’s latest issue uncovers the long rumored Red Steel 2 for the Wii. We are awaiting more details from the issue, but one thing has been confirmed so far…Motion Plus support. Click on over to see the full magazine cover.
