EA Tiger Woods 10 with Wii MotionPlus: Here’s my money, take it

Saturday, March 14th, 2009 at 9:34am by Jack

Joystiq has some demo footage of an EA rep going through the motions in the upcoming Tiger Woods PGA Tour golf title for the Wii. Stress motions. Joystiq came away impressed.

Basically, I can’t see myself playing a golf title on any other system going forward unless it has the kind of motion controls demonstrated here.

This game looks pretty good. I’ve never been a huge golf fan, but this could be a fun party game. Any idea if these games give players the ability to share remotes? I’ve got 2 remotes, but it’d be fun to have 4 people over playing this.

impressive. i’m impressed with EA. this game and that tennis game that are coming out with wii motion plus look good. day 1 purchase for EA golf and tennis. now, they just need to update their hockey and basketball franchises the same way. nba live for wii was one of the worst games ever made. put some effort into it EA! they should do a fight night for wii as well with 2 controllers wii motion plus and balance board support. listening EA??

Excellent. This will probably be the first full golf game I’ll ever buy. “D-Pad” golf never did it for me, and this improves upon everything I liked about Wii Sports golf.

Wow, I love they way they tie into the weather station, to determine what the weather conditions will be for the game.
Like others have said, how can you possibly go back to playing golf on any other system after playing this game?
My dad is one of those people who would never willingly play a video game, but I can guarantee that if he had a chance to play this game, he would be hooked (he’s an avid golfer)

seems pretty cool- maybe the one plastic peripheral you need will be a golf handle?

he talked about the twisting of the wrist as if it’s a static thing; wonder if the game rewards you for properly turning your wrists over through the stroke? i feel like that sounds possible with this new tech.

i don’t know if it’s just me, but these sims-type games just motivate me to go play golf, instead of playing the game.

Never been a massive golf fan but this game really intrigues me because of the tech in it. Motion plus is the obvious one but I love the tie-ins with the weather channel as well. I’ve been waiting for a game to do that for ages!

May have to pick it up.
