For months on end emotions ran high in one man’s quest to see his masterpiece video game to publication. As a carefully planned viral campaign raged on, true rage grew among the onlookers – who did this guy think he was? What egotistical madman would face-off against the largest video game company in the world, claiming the power to destroy them with the self-proclaimed “greatest game ever made?” The answer both is and is not Robert “bob” Pelloni. As bobsgame.com revealed itself as a viral ad for Pelloni’s “game by one person,” most onlookers realized that the “bob” they had loved to hate was nothing more than a character. Despite this, many still vented their frustration, harshly judging a game that nobody had ever played.
Those who hold a grudge against the previously unseen “bob’s game” might want to brace for reality: early this morning Robert Pelloni released the first playable demo of “bob’s game” – and it shows a lot of promise.
Still unsure if the upgrade to the DSi is worth the money? Nintendo has confirmed that new DSi units that connect to the DSi Shop before October 5th, 2009 will be credited 1,000 Nintendo Points to their account. Not a bad way to get the ball rolling for DSiWare.
Which DSiWare titles will be available to download on April 6th? Nothing is set in stone, but IGN strongly suspects WarioWare: Snapped! (500NP), Art Style: Aquia (500NP), and Bird & Beans (200NP) to be available. The DSi Opera browser will also be available for a free download.
What feature pushed you to preorder a DSi? Camera? Music playback? Free Nintendo Points? Comment below!

Canada’s Gamefocus is claiming that one of their Japanese Nintendo buddies let it slip that Nintendo is working on a Wii remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time:
Late last night, our Japanese contact over at Nintendo sent us word about something really exciting: a Wii remake of the one of the greatest N64 games ever produced: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. We were also told that an official announcement would be made around April 5, which is the North American launch of the Nintendo DSi.

Major League Baseball is right around the corner, so this week we ask:

First, there was IGN’s Matt Casamassina and Nintendo’s Perrin Kaplan. But today, is the video game world’s new completely fake and made up by me power couple going to be Attack of the Show’s Kevin Periera and Nintendo den mother Cammie Dunaway?
Could be! They’re hosting a megaton DSI launch event in beautiful Los Angeles at 9PM on Saturday, April 4th. If you live in the area, check out Universal CityWalk GameStop for music by DJ Fader, I Am 8-Bit art giveaways, and interactive gaming stations. There will also be some sweet, sweet street parkour action, because Nintendo is filthy stinking rich and that’s what filthy stinking rich people do. They have street parkour action at all their posh rich person events.
The event concludes at midnight PST time, says the press release Nintendo directed our way today, at which point the DSi will officially launch and the parkour will conclude with some high kicks or something.
“You can’t ignore the guy who has half the market,” said Peter Moore, head honcho at EA Sports.
