Watching the comparison video of Metroid Prime on GameCube versus Wii got me excited to play it again. I prefer the controls of Metroid Prime 3 to the original, but I like the story and level progression of the original over 3, so I’m pretty excited for the new play control version to come to the States. Anyone else?

We absolutely loved Big Bang Mini at Infendo. We gave it our highest recommendation, and we’re thrilled to report a sequel is in the works.
Only this time, the fireworks are coming to Wii.
According to N-Sider, another Big Bang Mini game is in development for a 2010 Wii release. Like the DS original, the Wii version is being developed by Arkedo and will be published by SouthPeak Games.
Arkedo president Camille Guermonprez says the team is trying “some clever tricks” to adapt Big Bang Mini for a new audience on Wii.
If the sticky, color-spewing de Blob were to splatter paint upon the THQ offices, he would color them green.
A pale, cash-like shade, that is.
CEO Brian Farrell said Tuesday his company’s colorful Wii platformer has sold more than 700,000 copies worldwide to date.
The game’s success has enabled THQ to keep de Blob at its original price point. After five months at retail, de Blob still sells for $49.99.
“We can make money on games like that,” said Farrell.
Nintendo gets what Nintendo wants.
The Tokyo District Court granted an injunction yesterday against sales of the R4 DS cartridge in Japan.
The original lawsuit was filed last July, when Nintendo and 54 game companies, including Capcom, Square Enix, SEGA and more, pushed for the cease of marketing, sales and importation of the Chinese-made cartridges.
Nintendo had expressed an interest in the cart in Nov. 2007, when a spokesman said the company is “keeping a close eye on the products and studying them.”
On Monday, concept artist Winona Nelson posted this realistic take on the NES classic Super Mario Bros. 2 on the art blog Gorilla Artfare.
She calls it Turnip Murder. Veggies have never seemed so deadly.

You can now play the Perfect Prosecutor demo online, and of course it will be in Japanese… but I found a translation reference to work around that. You will also have to figure out what everything else does, and that really is up to you. Although Perfect Prosecutor is an offshoot of the Phoenix Wright series, it somehow feels alright… What do you guys think?

Silconera has dug up some juicy information regarding a sequel to the ever so popular Final Fantasy IV, and found out that the [ESRB] has reviewed and rated the game for release in the US. Which is interesting since I thought that Square-Enix was against releasing their “Cell Phone” games over here, but since we all know that the Wii prints out cash for whoever develops for it and we all know that Square-Enix likes cashing out on their games this move was a no brainer.
Since Final Fantasy IV: The After Years was originally a two dimensional cellphone based game, I am hoping that square up ports it slightly with better graphics and audio, as it will probably be an exclusive WiiWare title. As a weary Final Fantasy fan tired of “crummy” sequels from the Final Fantasy VII series, I hope they actually put some thought into this one. Even if it is set 17-20 years after the events of the first game, Square-Enix doesn’t have the best track record for adding additional story to their games. Yet… I still can’t help wondering what happened to Cecil and his crew…
