Fresh new video games developer NoWay Studio is proud to announce the launch date for its exciting debut title, “C.O.R.E.”. Available exclusively on the Nintendo DSTM, and launching in October 2008, “C.O.R.E” is an action-packed multiplayer First Person Shooter. With a gripping single player mission, based on a Roswell style storyline, the game also boasts an exciting multiplayer experience in specially designed arenas.

Jakub Pieczykolan, CEO at NoWay Studio states: “The inspiration for C.O.R.E. comes from the team’s love of the classic early video games like Doom, Quake and Half-Life. These incredible games have that great combination of skilful and addictive gameplay which we have now re-created for the Nintendo DSTM. “C .O.R.E.” is essentially 2 games in one, the single player mission is spread over 15 huge levels and the multiplayer across 10 specially designed arenas.”

“Capture the flag”, “team arena” and “free for all” multiplayer modes can now be played on a handheld games system. Ten specially designed arenas have been created with a range of weapons and shields strategically placed around these challenging environments. With a single game cartridge up to four players can now quickly set up multiplayer FPS game that can last for hours.

“C .O.R.E.” brings a classic sci-fi storyline and great multiplayer gaming to the Nintendo DSTM.

    Man, I wish I had a DSTM.

Looks somewhat amateurish, to be honest. Maybe it’ll improve with time. Also, whoever wrote the copy for that trailer definitely wasn’t a native English speaker.

  3. Bii says...

    Here’s a better trailer.

It’s on the DS, so visually it’s what I expect. Reminds me of the good old days. :]

You’d think by now they’d be able to figure out a way to get more than 4 people playing at once in the (non-wifi) multiplayer modes. And you know, incorporate online ones as well. I think I’ll pass.

Why are you guys complaining? That looks really good for a DS game. Heck, that looks better than some Wii games. I’m not a big FPS fan, but you can tell they put a lot of effort into that game. Trailer looks nice, would be nice to pick up when it’s cheaper since I have no money and am again, not a FPS guy.

  6. ポール says...

It is of no interest to me, for I am not a FPS fan either.
However, I have to agree that the graphics are somwhat even better than a Wii game, and this is on the DS.
    Nice!

Now, when are we going to get some significant games for the Wii? Hum, I just wonder!

  7. Mark says...

That neither looks like a DS game (too good) or a Will game (too sloppy).

Hmmm, I need to see the game infront of me to be sure.

  8. Jamie says...

Heh, looks like somebody is trying to capitalize off the hype The Conduit has made. Epic fail though, the game looks pretty bad, it’s just all dark and what lighting there is, looks so fake. This is one gamer that will hold out for Call of Duty 5 and The Conduit.

  9. Kingbad says...

    More like, A.S.S.

  10. streex says...

    Was that Master Chief?

  11. patrick says...

this game looks terrible, the graphics look about as good as doom

  12. Run line 10 says...

My biggest problem is the bullets move in slow mo WTF is up with that! Make the bullets invisible unless they are rockets and use a Damn tracer round flash to make it look faster amateurs! The robots look fragile as hell also you could book on top of the to kill them. Nice try though and I hope they keep going. I may buy this so I don’t have to argue over certain design choices I’ll just pull this out and say hey that looks like core Hmmmmmmmm.

  13. deepthought says...

    @kingbad hahahahaha

    also, what’s ‘unknown radiation’?

  14. Lord Toker says...

it doesn’t look that bad if it’s for the DS. i’ll wait until i hear some friend reviews before making the purchase.

  15. maverick says...

i would buy but since i got a wii ive just been saving for wii games so id prefer if this game and that ds game named moon were on the wii they both look graphically amazing compared to some ds games not gonna say any names *cough*tony hawks american sk8land*cough*

  16. fesworks says...

Did… Did I miss something???? What the heck is the DSTM?????

  17. tylor says...

I’m looking forward to the Conduit on my WiiTM a little bit more, but for a DS FPS game I don’t see why people are complaining about it. It looks kind of derivative, but it’s their first try.
